For Lost Words

'For Lost Words" is a spoken word/jazz rock opera based on the Vietnam poetry of Yusef Komunyakaa, composed by Vince di Mura. I've seen this live twice. It's incredible. A beautiful blend of music, poetry and history. Only Vince could pull off something this deep and sensual.

All available to you via CD/downloads.

'Hair' to the 'Spray'

Rider University grad, Amy Toporek, who was a member of the tribe in my production of 'Hair' (Rider) is starring as Tracy Turnblad in 'Hairspray' at the Walnut Street Theatre. I couldn't be more thrilled for her. She's got quite the vocals.

I loved both versions of the movie, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the musical; even better with her as the lead.

You can't stop the beat!

The Mayor Never Sleeps...

I joke that Matt Cauley will be the next Mayor of NYC, following in the footsteps of our boss, Mike Bloomberg. But the truth is, Matt isn't spending his time kissing babies. He's making his own headlines. Check it out:

Turkey Eve

Everyone knows that the best party night of the year is the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving. But only the cool kids know the place to celebrate. And that is where the annual Turkey Testicle Festival will be. Get there to give thanks. Big D always serves up the finest turkey balls.
